Yogaraj Bhat's 'Gaalipata 2' is eagerly being awaited by his fans and Ganesh fans too as it is the magical combo that gave the blockbusters like 'Mungaru Male' and 'Gaalipata'. Yogaraj Bhat has now continued the 'Gaalipata' franchise by doing the sequel as 'Gaalipata 2' and the film is ready for release on August 12.
Though the team says the story has no continuation to the first part, only some of the main characters have been retained for part 2. The big change in the main cast is the replacement of actor Rajesh Krishnan and Yogaraj Bhat made a sweet surprise by getting director Pawan Kumar in the role of Rajesh Krishnan.

Director Pawan Kumar is being launched as an actor by his mentor Yogaraj Bhat through 'Gaalipata 2'. After the release of the song, Neenu Bagehariyada from the film, featuring himself with Sharmiela Mandre, music by Arjun Janya and lyrics by Jayanth Kaikini have been lapped by the netizens and the appreciation for Pawan Kumar hasn't stopped since the release of the song. Pawan Kumar will be sharing screen space with Ganesh, Digganth, Ananth Nag, Vaibhavi Shandilya, Samyuktha Menon and Nishvika Naidu.
Pawan Kumar feels elated that he gets to play a role that is quite near to his real-life character and lets him be himself on the screen too. The unit has been happy with the way Pawan Kumar's chemistry with Sharmiela has come out and the song also comes out better than expected. Pawan Kumar also respects the vision of his mentor Yogaraj Bhat and saw that he just follows Yogaraj blindly than thinking of the director on the sets.
Pawan Kumar also clarifies that he will not shift to acting completes and will accept acting roles only if he likes the role and would want to be part of good films he comes across.
