Exclusive: Ayaana goes de-glam for village girl role in Dooradarshana

. The movie, which is set in the 80s, sees her sharing screen space with

Pruthvi Ambaar

We spoke to

Aayana

to get more insights into her character. “I will be seen in a de-glam role as I play an educated village girl, Mythri, who is learning tailoring. It was an absolute delight to don a retro look. The film is about what the excitement that comes when a television set is brought to a village for the first time. Since there weren't many television sets back in the 80s, everyone used to gather to watch shows. All this has been wonderfully captured in the film and will make people nostalgic.”

On working with Pruthvi, she adds, “He is a wonderful co-artiste. It was fantastic to work with him. We shot together for around 40 days and we had a lot of fun portraying chracters from a bygone era.”
