Exclusive: I was blown away by Vikram Prabhu’s narration style: Nishan Nanaiah

Kannada film Wedding Gift, releasing on July 8, marks the debut of multilingual actor Nishan Nanaiah. The project, directed by Vikram Prabhu, also has Prema and Sonu Gowda in lead roles.
Nishan, who is basically from Madikeri, says, “First of all, I loved the script. Though Vikram Prabhu is a newcomer, he knows the art of filmmaking and I was blown away by his narration style. There is not even the slightest compromise in terms of content and quality which will be seen on the silver screen.I am glad to debut in Sandalwood with Wedding Gift that has a subject, not explored by many directors.”
Letting us in on his role in the movie, he shares, “I am a self-made man called Vilas Rao, who is into the pharmaceutical business. He falls in love with a girl, but his marriage goes awry and leads to his arrest and courtroom drama. This is an eye-opener for him regarding relationships. There are also thriller elements which spice up the entire storyline.”
Regarding working in Sandalwood, he adds, “I shot for 45 days which were memorable. It did not feel like I was shooting for a movie. It was very comfortable working with Prema, Achyuth Kumar and Sonu Gowda who made me feel like family. I wish to work on more projects here.”
