Actress Iti Acharya is delighted to be appointed as a cultural brand ambassador of India by the Ministry of Culture on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day.

"Across the country, 75 people from various fields were chosen to represent India on the global stage. As a brand ambassador, I will be representing India to establish the new image of the country. We have achieved so much in the field of art and entertainment which many countries are not aware of."

Meanwhile, Iti is back in action with director Rohit Kumar’s Lakshmiputra, a film that sees her sharing screen space with Shreyas Chinga.

Iti says, "I play Nandu, a tomboy. I was doing a very feminine and girly character, when Nandu came my way. I was delighted to accept it and I’m working on my body language and dialogues since it has thrown me out of my comfort zone. I will experiment with my looks and it will be a pleasant surprise for audiences."
