He is currently resting for a fortnight before resuming work
Actor Sriimurali began shooting for a

raw fight sequence

at Bengaluru's

Kanteerava Studio

earlier this week. This was supposed to be shot over five days and involved around 300 junior artistes and 45 fighers. On Tuesday night, Sriimurali

injured

himself during the fight sequence.

Filmmaker Mahesh, who is helming

Madhagaja

, shares, "On Tuesday night, during the fight sequence, our lead actor Roaring Star Sriimurali was injured and sustained a ligament tear on his knee while performing the stunts. He has been advised around a fortnight's rest to recuperate from the same and is currently resting. He is recovering and fine otherwise." The film team rushed to help Sriimurali out, the moment he was injured during the sequence and the Kannada star was immediately rushed for medical help and then went home to rest and recuperate.

Madhagaja, which also stars a whole host of actors including Ashika Ranganath and Jagapathi Babu, is in its fourth schedule right now. The team has put a break to the filming process until hero Sriimurali gets better.

Madhagaja is a multilingual mass entertainer which is being made in all south Indian languages. The film has been shot in Uttar Pradesh as well as in various parts of Karnataka including Mysuru, Mandya and Bengaluru. The team, incidentally, had celebrated the 25 days celebrations of Roberrt on their film set, along with producer Umapathy Srinivas, who also was the producer of the Darshan film that has gone on to become the first post pandemic blockbuster in Karnataka.
