Film team's nobel gesture to an acid attack victim

Kannada film Case No.18/9 team donated a sum of Rs 1 lakh to Shruthi, an acid attack victim, who was attacked in 2002.
The film unit decided to help Shruthi financially, as the movie also highlights the crime of acid attack prevalent in our society. Almost a year back, Vazhakku Enn 18/9 (Case No. 18/9), the Tamil teen crime thriller, written and directed by Balaji Sakthivel was a box-hit.Now, the Kannada remake of the film has been released recently.
Mahesh Kumar is the director of the Kannada version. The film has been produced by Praveen Kumar Shetty, Shivanand Shetty and Kanthi Shetty. In fact, the lead actor of the film, Niranjan, spent several weeks in a slum area to understand the life in the community, as he plays the role of a slum-dweller in the film. Actress Sindhu Lokanath, paired opposite Niranjan, plays the role of a domestic help in the film.
