Getting tested early helped me to isolate quickly from my parents: Anita Bhat

Actress Anita Bhat is the latest from Sandalwood to have tested

positive

for COVID-19 in the last week. The actress, who has isolated herself at an apartment is under treatment, and has shifted her

parents

to her brother’s house to avoid further infections in the family.

She says, “My case is a little peculiar, I had an

upset stomach

, and no fever or breathing complications. But I got tested, as I had heard of stomach issues also being attributed to

COVID

. Moreover, there have just been too many cases of people losing their lives for neglecting the initial symptoms. I was shocked when I got to know that I had tested positive and it took me a while to really comprehend the gravity of the situation. But then I thought to myself that the best way to combat the virus is by staying strong and positive and that’s what I have been aiming for.”

The actress adds that she is not sure how and when she contracted the virus, but is thankful that it was detected early enough. And one of her first moves was to get her parents to shift to her brother’s house, while she isolates at her place. Recuperating at home, Anita says that she has been practicing yoga techniques for improved breathing. “I suggest people to stay safe by remaining at home as much as possible, as the healthcare sector is collapsing in Bengaluru.”
