Actor Sriimurali is set to embark on a new venture, teaming up with newcomer Halesh for his upcoming project Parak. In a candid conversation, Sriimurali, who is currently working on Bagheera, discusses the appeal of working with fresh talent, dealing with injuries, and his plans for a busier film schedule in the coming year.
‘Young minds bring along fresh ideas’ Scripts are paramount for me, regardless of whether they’re being directed by a veteran or a newcomer. Halesh’s thought process is unique and he is clear on his cinematic vision. He also knows how to translate his ideas onto the screen. I will be undergoing another physical transformation for this role.
‘I love to work continuously’ I am someone who loves to work continuously. Achieving multiple film releases in a year is feasible with the right clarity from production houses and the entire team. Coordination is essential in filmmaking to deliver the best product.
‘Quality stories need a little bit of luck’ We go through many rounds of discussions and sometimes even then, the project will not get the expected response from the audience. So it’s a combination of a quality story and a little bit of luck. As an actor, my job is to do justice to the characters with dedication and hard work.
