Guruprasad to direct a movie and RJ Pradeep to make web series on #MeToo movement

The #MeToo movement in India brought to light several claims of harassment by big-wigs in from different industries including the Sandalwood film industry. Now, according to reports, director Guruprasad is set to direct and act in a film based on the movement.
“This is my own stand on the #MeToo campaign. I don't know why I was accused of this issue. This topic is very sensitive.Its effect is even worse. So I am prepared to make this movie,” said director Guruprasad.
Guruprasad, who has already written the story, says he will also be starring in this movie.
RJ Pradeep has also come forward to make a web series on the movement, produced under his Sakhat Studio banner and is said to have four seasons.
“#MeToo is a serious matter, and currently it's a hot topic. So we are going to do web series with the same name. We will be telling this story through Political thriller and romantic-comedy way. But there is no charge against any person,” said RJ Pradeep.
#MeToo rattled the Kannada film industry brought out many big names. Because of this, the series and the movie is expected to do well in Kannada.
