Sandalwood’s most renowned actor and director Kashinath would have turned 69 today. Kashinath did not only work in

Kannada

but also worked in Hindi and Malayalam movies. The actor who was suffering from cancer passed away in January 2018. But today, on his birth anniversary, several stars have taken to their social media accounts to pay tributes to the great actor and director.

Kashinath was active for three decades in the Kannada film industry, and acted in more than 40 movies and directed 13. He made his directorial debut with the film ‘Aparoopada Athithigalu’ in 1976, and debuted as an actor in the 1984 film ‘Anubhava’. ‘Anaamika’, ‘Anantana Avantara’, ‘Love Maadi Nodu’, ‘Shhh!’, ‘Hello Yama’, ‘Baduku Jatakabandi’ were some of his best movies. Many of his films were remade in other languages.
