Hemanth Hegde's next is about social media addiction

Actor-director Hemanth Hegde's upcoming film, titled Network, delves into the burning issue of the negative
effects of social media on the present generation. The movie boasts an ensemble cast, including Sakshi Meghana, Sharath Lohithaswa, K M Chaitanya, and Rajesh Nataranga in lead roles.
Hemanth, who is both acting in and directing the film says, the overuse of cell phones and social media has affected our relationships, especially in Indian families. "Communication has decreased among family members as everyone is glued to their mobile device, which has made relationships lose their relevance. Especially children are facing issues with concentration and learning. Without being too preachy, we are incorporating black humor to keep the audience engaged. The story is set in a cosmopolitan city and revolves around five families, which will be closer to reality."
Hemanth is excited about reuniting with the Drishti theatre team, which had dissolved in the 1970s, for the film. "It is a great feeling to work with the same team again after all these years. The experience of shooting for this film will be nostalgic for all of us," he says
