Here's what inspired filmmaker Mansore to direct ACT- 1978
A day ahead of the much-awaited hostage thriller's release, the film's director Mansore was recently hear revealing the real reason for taking up a subject like this and what prompted him to do so. In an interview made to an entertainment daily , the director was heard touching upon an extremely personal story that gave birth to the film and was the real reason that coerced him to make the film.

In the interview the director revealed how after his father's death, he went through a tough time running in and out of government offices when he went to seek his pension dues. The experience, he added was an extremely traumatic one for him and how government officials refused to handle a file because it was handled by another colleague. The director was pushed him to a point of threatening them to bring the issue to media attention that the officials finally decided to pay heed to him.
The question that come forth after this experience, the director revealed was what would be a common man’s fate, if he was subjected to a situation like this. And it was then he decided to bring out the government officials’ negligence towards common man’s issues on to the big screen, and developed it in cinematic terms he added.
The story was written with T K Dayanand and Veeru Mallanna. The film is all set to hit theatres on November 20.
