Hot news of the week: From ‘U-Turn’ sequel to Cricket third season of Sandalwood cricket and more

It was indeed an eventful week in Sandalwood! Many Producers, directors, and artists have announced big projects and many have unveiled the first looks of on-going ones. Some news has shocked the audiences while some made them happy. Let's take a look at what all happened this week.

Sandalwood suspense thriller movie ‘U-Turn’ finally gets its sequel. ‘U-Turn’ was remade in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Now, the movie ‘U-Turn 2’ is all set to bring more thrill to the audience. Chandru Obaiah, who is a music director is making his acting debut from this movie. Anand Sampangi, Kari Subbu, Raghu Ramanakoppa and others are starred in the movie. The first look of the movie is released and is gaining attention from the audience.

‘KGF Chapter-2’ gave big news to the audience. The ‘KGF’ supervillain Adheera character in the movie and Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is playing this character. The movie is directed by Prashanth Neel. Sanjay Dutt claims Adheera character to Thanos in ‘Avengers Endgame’, and It is a very terrific character and terrific getup.

On the occasion of International Tiger Day was celebrated on Monday, July 29th Darshan adopted a male tiger, two anacondas and an elephant at the Mysore Zoo for a check of Rs 2.95 lakh. Darshan, who is an animal lover, has already adopted many animals and is raising a small zoo in their farmhouse near Mysore.

‘Galipata’ was one of the successful movies released in 2008. Director Yogaraj Bhatt has this move. Now, ‘Galipata’ is getting its sequel, and Ganesh and Diganth have selected to play a lead role in this movie. Mahesh Danannanavar is producing the film 'Galipata 2'. Sharan and Rishi were supposed to play a lead role in the movie. However, Ganesh and Diganth were replaced for the movie.

Prashanth Neel to direct NTR

Director Prashanth Neel, who is known for his action movies. He is directing his next movie based on the story of music and dance. Junior NTR will play a lead role in this movie. The film will be released in Telugu and Kannada. Currently, Yash and NTR busy different movies and this movie are expected to take off in 2020. Mythri Movie Maker is producing this movie, Tollywood actor and great dancer Junior NTR is learning the Kuchipudi dance for the movie.

Sandalwood star Kiccha Sudeep is a busy lot of movies, working restlessly for the past several months is suffering from back pain. Sudeep, who recently completed shooting for Hindi 'Dabangg 3' and Telugu 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' shooting, is currently busy shooting 'Kotigobba 3' in Kannada. Sudeep has suffered back pain during the shooting of ‘Kotigobba 3’ and admitted to office. Doctors have suggested to take rest for few days and involved in the shooting.

The third season of Karnataka Chalanachitra Cup is announced, will be held in Mysuru this time. The game will be played in Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar (SDNR) Ground on September 6, 7 and 8. The whole Sandalwood will be gathering for the event, by taking off from the shooting and enjoying the game. Puneeth Rajkumar (Ganga Warriors), Kichcha Sudeep(Kadamba Lions), Upendra (Hoysala Eagles), Ganesh (Wodeyar Chargers), Shivarajkumar (Vijanagaraja Patriots) and Yash (Rashtrakuta Panthers) are teams involved in the tournament.
