Ace-filmmaker Mani Ratnam has finally joined Twitter on Wednesday. His first tweet was, “I am now on twitter.”
“Thanks for the wonderful wishes, and I am real :),” says his third tweet after he received several messages on the micro-blogging page.
In his fifth tweet the director reveals the reason behind him agreeing to join the social media, “All thanks to my wife @hasinimani for letting me into the world of twitter.”

Wife of Mani Ratnam, actress-filmmaker Suhasini Mani Ratnam, is currently working in Kannada-Telugu film Sachin, Tendulkar Alla, a cricket based film. In the movie, she plays the role of a mother to a boy, who plays cricket.
