Megha, known for her girl-next-door looks and role in the soap opera, Jote Joteyali, will essay the role of a village belle in the film. The actress says, “When I heard the script, I had goosebumps because the story was so haunting. And I believe that powerful roles create impactful actors.”

On preparing for the role, the actress says: “Our director, Devanuru Chandru has suggested watching a couple of films to understand the body language of a village girl. I am watching at least two films each day now. I also keep re-reading the script and make notes in places where I can put in extra effort to make that scene look better.”
