is back on the set to can the action sequences of his bilingual,
Vara
.
'Vara translates to boon, but we also refer to the bridegroom as 'vara'. So, this film is essentially a commercial family drama, but there's also a lot realistic action involved. There are chase sequences, some intense fights and the action-oriented concepts used are interesting, as they are not larger-than-life, but extremely challenging,' says Avinash, who also continues his stint as art director for this film after his recent State Award win for Last Bus. 'Handling art design while you are working on action is physically demanding, but I think the few months of training that went in before the shoot really helped me work on getting the nuances of parkour right. It is an art by itself: There's a lot of running, climbing and jumping across and over obstacles ' all done artistically. I lost a bit of weight in the process. After experiencing the kind of work that goes into such intense sequences, I now have new-found respect for action films,' he says. Incidentally, the guys who trained him for parkour '
Chetan and Raju ' have also been roped in to choreograph the fight sequences for the film.
