Rishab Shetty has done it again. He has choreographed a large part of the

action sequences

in

Hero

, that hits screens tomorrow. The Bharath Shetty directorial stars Rishab and Ghanavi Laxman in lead roles and is said to be an action-comedy film.
“This is the second time I have choreographed

action

sequences for a film. The first time was for a scene in my directorial

Kirik Party

. Incidentally, I ended up winning an award for action choreography for that scene – though I got quite a bit of backlash from experienced action directors for having won it too,” he recalls, adding that his love for action films goes back to childhood. “I love action films, and while I cannot really direct complicated scenes, I can manage to shoot some realistic fights. I have often spent time on the set learning from senior action directors on how they figure out cut points and scenes.”

This time, for Hero, while the team had action director Vikram More on board for some of the complicated chase sequences, it was upto Rishab to fill in for the rest of the film. “We had given Vikram a couple of exact dates when he would require to be on the set – considering we were being extra careful about the number of people on the set during the pandemic. But the remaining sequences, I worked on them myself. I did hurt myself as well as a few other artistes in the process, but thankfully it was nothing serious. The bomb sequence in the film, which has been one of the most challenging ones attempted so far, was directed by Vikarm. It is one of the highlights of the film too,” says Rishab.
