Late actor Ambareesh was one of the major pillars of Sandalwood. Every issue raised in Sandalwood was ultimately solved by Ambareesh. He was the backbone of the Kannada film industry, who had many friends across other industries like Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Darshan and wife Vijayalakshmi

Darshan's wife Vijayalakshmi had raised a complaint against the actor for assaulting her and having an affair with the actress Nikita Thukral. Ambareesh who got involved in the issue invited the couple to his residence to solve the problem and advised them not to inform anything to media. The issue became a hot topic in Karnataka and the decision was to go to court, but Ambareesh involvement stopped the couple from going to court and the issue was solved by the legendary actor.

Ramya ban by Kannada Film Producers Association

In 2011, the Kannada Film Producers Association banned actress Ramya, for not attending the promotional events of the movie ‘Dandam Dashagunam’ and other stars in the industry also supported the decision. Later, Ambareesh got involved in the issue and spoke to producers and took off the ban on Ramya in Kannada Film Industry.

‘Katrina Veera Surasundarangi’ release problem

In 2012, there was a major controversy between producer Munirathna and K. Manju for the release of their movies starring Upendra in ‘Godfather’ and ‘Katrina Veera Surasundarangi’. The issue went to KFCC and the chamber decided to release the movie on the basis of which movie does censor first can release first. The producers were not satisfied with the KFCC decision. Later Ambareesh got involved in the issue and solved it.

#MeToo in Sandalwood

The recent #MeToo allegation by Shruti against Arjun Sarja became a serious topic in Kannada Film Industry. Ambareesh intervened in the allegations against Arjun Sarja by actress Shruthi Hariharan. Ambareesh advised both Arjun and Shruthi not to take the issue to the court and the media. Ambareesh gave a clever solution to solve the problem but both Arjun and Shruti didn't accept the solution took the issue to the court.
