Filmmaker Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara' emerged as one of the most successful films of 2022. Recently, the prequel to the acclaimed Kantara (2022) titled Kantara-A Legend: Chapter 1, recently unveiled its first-look teaser after a successful muhurat.
According to report, the team received more than 25,000 applications from aspiring talents. Amidst these, a select few have been shortlisted for various roles. Adding to the buzz, Paayal Rajput from Mangalavaaram (2023) expressed interest in joining the cast, reaching out on social media.
Meanwhile, the prequel movie is expected to trace back to the origins of the Panjurli Daiva, which is likely in the time period of 301-400 AD. Like the first movie, Kantara Chapter 1 is written and directed by Rishab Shetty.
The first look poster and teaser feature a massive look of Rishab Shetty, donning a majestic and god-like look in it. Rishab's captivating avatar in the teaser, wielding God Shiva’s iconic Trishul along with an intriguing undisclosed weapon, has piqued curiosity among fans worldwide.
The film is set to begin production soon, will predominantly be in Kannada, with releases planned in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, and English.
