‘Kantara Chapter 1’: Rishab Shetty reveals fasting and avoiding footwear for the film; fans await Oct 2 grand release
‘Kantara Chapter 1’ is set to release on October 2. Talking about the film at the press meet, actor Rishab Shetty said that he had to control himself during the shooting of some scenes to fully immerse himself in the character. “At that moment, I didn't eat non-vegetarian food and didn't wear footwear because I needed clarity of mind. This is not for the entire film, but for certain scenes. I made this decision for the sake of the God I believe in," he said.

Rishab Shetty then added, “Usually there are thousands of people on the set. But since these scenes are not easy to do, I was extra careful. I didn't want to question anyone's trust. I respect everyone's trust. I expect the same respect in return," he said. Fans praise his approach as demonstrating a balance between art and trust.
Meanwhile, a fake post saying that viewers should not eat non-vegetarian food before watching the film 'Kantara Chapter 1' has gone viral on social media. Rishab Shetty clarified that this is not an official poster, but a fan-made one. “We have nothing to do with this. We have no right to criticize anyone’s personal eating habits or rituals. The person who posted that fake post has deleted it and apologized," he said confidently.
The Kannada film ‘Kantaara’, released in 2022, was a success that crossed the borders of the country. Following its massive response, the Rishab Shetty starrer was dubbed and released in multiple Indian languages to become a pan-Indian hit. In its prequel, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’, Rishab Shetty plays the hero and also works as a director. The upcoming biggie stars Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram, Kishore, and others in key roles. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film, which is slated to release on October 2, and the film is set to open big.
