Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar film to be dubbed in Kannada

At a time when Sandalwood and the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce is strongly opposing dubbing of other language films in Kannada, the Karnataka government has decided to dub the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar film in Kannada. The film released in 2000 in nine languages.
The film highlights the contribution of Dr B R Ambedkar towards the development of the country and in shaping up the Constitution.Malayalam actor Mammootty has essayed Ambedkar's role in the film.
Social welfare Minister, Dr H Anjenaya, said that since there is a need to spread the values that were imbibed by visionary like Dr Ambedkar, it is essential to dub the movie. Will Sandalwood raise objections to this? Only time will tell.
