Amid the controversy surrounding the lyrics of Sarse Ninna Seraga Sarse, penned by director Prem for the film KD: The Devil, the film’s team has apologised and assured that the lyrics will be revised. A meeting was convened by Film Chamber president Jayamala on Friday to address the issue.
“We had summoned director Prem and the film’s producers (KVN) to discuss, as concerns about the song were widespread. However, due to circumstances, both Prem and the producers could not attend,” she said.
Jayamala added that a representative from KVN reached out soon after. “KVN called me and assured that the lyrics will be changed shortly. The song has already been taken down from their platforms, and their legal team was present at the meeting,” she shared.
The team is now awaiting the revised version of the song, which will be rewritten by Prem. The director has also issued a video apology for hurting sentiments.
