Starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Ramya Krishna, Ananth Nag, Vasishta N Simha, Achyuth Rao and John Kokken, among others, KGF is a Homabale Films production, directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur. While Tamannaah has a cameo for a special number in the Kannada version, Mouni Roy features in the same in the Hindi version.
A period drama, KGF: Chapter 1 narrates the 1,700-year-old history of oppressed waging wars against their oppressors. Set in the 70s and early 80s, it centers around the protagonist, Rocky (Yash), who leads a battle against oppressors.
The film releases across the world tomorrow in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. It is the first Kannada film to release in Eastern Europe, parts of Africa, Cyprus and Hong Kong.
