The fight started after the state government came up with a rule that it is mandatory for all business establishments to have 60% Kannada written signboards which angered the Tulus asking for at least 30% Tulu sign boards in their region.

The actor said that the Karnataka natives should not fight with the Tulus as they also originated from Mangalore only. He said that his mother also is part Tulu and he learnt a few words from her in Tulu which he uses to invite his guests at home.

On the work front, KIccha Sudeep has 5 more projects in the pipeline that include 'Max' with debutant Vijay Karthikeyan. The film stars Samyuktha Hornadu, Sukrutha Wagle, Anirudh Bhat among others. He also has 'Billa Ranga Baasha' with director Anup Bhandari and 'Kibzaa 2' with director Chandru.

He also has the two tentatively titled 'Kiccha 47' and 'Kiccha 48' in the pipeline which has been officially announced by the film production houses.
