Krishna Prasad Pandit happy to be a grandfather

, became parents to a baby girl in the early hours of Sunday at a hospital in the heart of the city. Radhika, who had an elaborate traditional seemantha ceremony recently, was on Saturday treated to an intimate baby shower by her friends before she headed to the hospital to welcome her new born. “Keeping in mind the sombre mood owing to Ambareesh anna’s demise, we decided to keep the baby shower very low-key. Since it is customary for the soon-to-be mommy to be sent for delivery with a good omen, we had a small puja for her, followed by cake cutting and some presenting of gifts for the baby. We also gave her 3D images of the baby’s face from her scans. Yash was also given a practice session on putting diapers for the baby. She was glowing, so we all guessed it would be a baby girl,” shares Saniya Sardhariya, Radhika’s friend and designer. The group included friends from school, college, colleagues from Nanda Gokula along with her personal friends Pavithra and Saniya.

“We are happy that mother and daughter are doing fine and are ecstatic about turning grandparents again. We had our little girl in our arms well before 7 am. Yash, of course, is elated at having a daughter. Radhika is recovering well and should be home in four days,” says the actor’s father,
