National award-winning actor Sanchari Vijay played Kunnegowda, a person with intellectual disability who lives in a forest and fights to save the trees and environment by taking on the timber mafia in a village in Chamarajanagar.

Director Praveen Krupakar says, “We are delighted that the movie is getting recognition worldwide. Sanchari Vijay deserves every bit of credit for it. Sadly, he is not among us now. We are supposed to fly to London to take part in the festival, but the third wave of Coronavirus has put our plans in jeopardy. Otherwise, we will participate in the festival virtually.”
On releasing the film, the director adds, “We are yet to take a call as it depends on the COVID situation and cinema halls are now allowed to operate only with 50 per cent occupancy.”

The project, which was screened at the Indian Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India, also has Mangala Raghu, B Suresha, Mandya Ramesh, Ramesh Pandit and

Chaitra Achar

in pivotal roles.
