Manasa Joshi gets to the police uniform in Amruth Apartments and she’s thrilled
Manasa Joshi loves the idea of straddling the sets in a police uniform and she’s getting to do it in
For the actress, this has been a satisfying experience. "My character breaks the myths of police officers usually shown on screen. She does not get influenced by anyone nor does she succumb to pressure. She is very grounded and knows how to handle the media and everything that is happening around her. She is sorted, but not always strict. She has layers to her character, which is very nice and I have loved experimenting with different characters," reveals Manasa.
Manasa believes this is a good time for actors. "It is a wonderful space to be in right now. From the beginning, I have looked for different characters. Earlier, it used to be about a hero, heroine and villain. Now, there is scope for a lot of different scripts and that is more exciting. At the end of the day, cinema is about scripts and we add on to that by getting into our characters. It is more challenging when we have stronger characters. The pandemic too has taught us lessons of togetherness. One person cannot win the game. It is all of us coming together. Like the way we see little drops of water making the mighty ocean, cinema is that mighty ocean and each of us are little drops," she adds.
