Manju Pavagada bags comic role in new film

Bigg Boss Kannada winner Manju Pavagada’s comic timing is taking him places. He will share screen space with Chandan Shetty in the film, Elra Kaal Eliyutte Kaala, directed by Sujay Shastry. The movie marks the debut of Chandan Shetty, also a Bigg Boss Kannada winner, as a hero.
Manju, who has been flooded with offers in Sandalwood post his stint in Bigg Boss, says, “I am looking forward to working with Chandan Shetty who’s got loads of talent, especially in music.People identified me because of my comic timing, which I consider my forte. I don’t mind doing comic roles at all.”
Sujay Shastry, who had earlier directed Gubbi Mele Brahmastra, says, “Manju Pavagada is known for his comic timing. Even in Elra Kaal Eliyutte Kaala, he will create a laugh riot. His comic skills, which were restricted to television, will be taken to a new level in this film. As the story is set in the 1980s and 90s, Manju’s look will get a complete makeover. There is humour along with a thriller element. We plan to begin shooting in Bengaluru rural areas, where COVID cases are relatively fewer, from this weekend.”
