Meet the ladies of Siliconn City

The upcoming Kannada film Siliconn City, a suspense thriller, has actresses Kavya Shetty and Ekta Rathod in the lead. While Kavya plays the role of a working professional from the city, Ekta plays a college student. Here’s what the actresses have to say about their roles:
Kavya Shetty, who is paired opposite Srinagar Kitty in the film, plays Prerna, a simple girl belonging to a middle-class family working for an advertising company.“As compared to my earlier films, in Siliconn City I essay the role of a simple, working girl.” Talking about her experience, Kavya says, “Working with director Murali Gurappa was so easy. I never felt like he’s a debutant director. He was really cool and he let us be — in a way that he never forced us to act. He would only come and correct us when needed. Everybody’s role in the film is important as the movie has many different elements,” the actress says.

Ekta Rathod, who is paired opposite Suraj Gowda in the film, says that though she has a small role, her character, Shoba, has a pivotal part in the plot. “Working with Suraj was very easy for me. I play a college student and am paired opposite him. Since I know him for the past four years, it was comfortable for me to work with him,” she says.
