Meet the Mysuru and Bijapur boys of Mataash

These two gangs are integral parts of the film
Director

SD Arvinda

’s comedy

Mataash

is a multi-starrer, involving four groups. The story revolves around a bunch of boys from Mysuru, another from Bijapur, a group of gangsters and two girls from Bengaluru, and how circumstances bring all of them to a common point. Here, we present the

Mysuru

and

Bijapur

boys…
“The Mysuru boys are a gang of four — Rulebook played by Balaji Shetty, Facebook by Nagarjun, Calm Sutra played by Amogh Rahul and LKB played by me,” says Samarth Narasimharaju, adding. “The undercurrent of the story is demonetisation and even though my character doesn’t care about money, he comes face to face with the Bijapur group, who only care about money. In the film, the Mysuru boys head to Sakleshpura to party, while the Bijapur gang is there on a deal. What happens after a night of having magic mushrooms forms a part of the narrative, as we don’t remember what transpired and my friends believe that I betrayed them for money.”

The deal that the Bijapur gang was looking at cracking that brings them to Sakleshpura is another highlight, says Arvinda, adding that they look at conning someone into buying the famous monument, Gol Gumbaz. “The four boys, played by Ravikiran Rajendran, Ganesh Raj, Gautham and Siddu used to be up to no good and spent their time on gambling. When they finally decide to make some money by getting into business, no one gives them loans because of their background and that is when they come up with the

Gol Gumbaz

scheme. But then they get caught in the whole old note conversion issue,” says Arvinda.
