Director Gurudutt Ganiga, known for his film Ambi Ning Vayassayto, starring Ambareesh and Sudeep, is now doing a film with Diganth Manchale, Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana, which highlights the problems of southpaws. The dark comedy suspense thriller already has Radhika Chetan in a pivotal role.

Now, the team has roped in Nirup Bhandari of Ranitaranga fame for an extended cameo. Giving us details about the film, Gurudutt says, “In Sandalwood, multi-hero culture is a rarity. We hardly see one actor making an appearance in another actor’s film. Most of them are worried about being part of ‘another hero’s’ film and what it might do to their image. Edagaiye has a bunch of new, young filmmakers who come with a new mindset. It is not only a content based film, but is also equally entertaining.”

“When we wrote this special cameo, we wanted someone who has done such rich content films in the past. Though several names were thrown around, we couldn’t find a better match than Nirup. He especially liked the special role. Why is it special? Well, that’s something audience have to savour it on big screen,” he adds.

Guru also clarified that Nirup doesn’t play a southpaw in the film, but has a very interesting character. “It is not a blink-and-you-miss role. It is an extended cameo, which we are hoping will be loved by all,” he signs off.
