film buffs, Mugur Sundar's son Nagendra Prasad is no stranger to them and they have loved him in all his films.

Nagendra

has acted in Kannada films like Chitra. So when he has chosen to make his directorial debut in Kannada, it might not come much as a surprise for people.

"Films, like dance, have no language. When you love films, you love it irrespective of whatever language. As for Kannada, I have my roots in

Mysuru

. My parents speak Kannada at home and it is in my genes. So, I'd say a directorial debut here came naturally," says the filmmaker.

Nagendra also adds how the title

Lucky Man

is so apt for his making the film. "Take the song that we shot last week for instance, I consider myself a lucky man that my brother Prabhudeva readily agreed the moment I approached him. While at songs, I feel a romantic comedy is driven by music and I am blessed to have a new composer

Vijay Vicky

who has composed a soundtrack that will blow everyone's minds off. Apart from that, just me getting this as my debut itself is lucky," he explains.

With the first film done, Nagendra says he now enjoys direction as much as he loves acting, dancing and choreography. "I am definitely going to do more films as a director. This is one such thing, where you can't keep off once you've had the taste of it. Plus, I love to keep myself educated and there's no better way than filmmaking where I can dive deeper into the art form," he signs off.
