was launched sometime ago, has been busy shooting for the film in Mysuru. The film is a bilingual and the young actor is excited, as he is reaching out to both the

Kannada

and

Telugu

audiences. The film's story has been penned by writer

, whose films Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan have seen victory at the recent National Awards. Nikhil is gung-ho about his character sketch, which sees him in two avatars. 'It's an interesting revenge drama, in which I play a happy young college student. And then, I am seen seeking revenge in the other part of the film,' he says, adding that debutant director Mahadev has given the story a spin of his own. Nikhil is now looking forward to shoot an interesting part of the film, something very novel for a debutant ' play a superhero! "I wouldn't really call him a

superhero

, though he's masked and wears an armour. I get to wear a costume, even though there are no inherent powers that my character has. I am more like Batman, making my own powers. I am lucky to be able to play a role like this in my first film. How many people actually get an opportunity like this? I have seen the costume and it looks splendid. I can't wait to shoot,' he says. The next schedule of the film begins on Monday in Mysuru, during which the team will can two important fight sequences to be choreographed by Ravi Varma. "We are currently in the process of putting up a massive set, worth about Rs 2 crore, for two crucial action scenes. The fights have been conceptualized using 3-D pre-visualization technology, to give us a clear picture about how they will turn out and what needs to be done. There is a sequence that requires the actors to fight on top of a 30-storey building, but there are technical issues in doing that, and, hence, the need for the set that we are erecting," says a source from the team.
