Niranjan Sudhindra says it was hard to deal with the monotony of the break
When you are still relatively new in the industry, any disruption in your attempt to find a firm footing can be quite unsettling, especially, if you have spent more than a year physically preparing yourself for a role that is more like a launch-pad. Young actor Niranjan Sudhindra has been prepping for his next,
“The entire film industry was impacted. So, I was more worried about the daily-wage workers than my film. I was helping my uncle (actor Upendra) with his activities to help people from the industry. This helped me stay calm. I knew work would resume eventually,”says Niranjan, adding, “We need to put the bad things behind us, look at the brighter side and move forward. Things are only going to get better, henceforth. With no work and only a limited number of activities, it was hard to deal with the monotony. But I found myself a routine, with regular workouts, watching movies/series online and gaming, apart from doing certain household chores."
The actor says that patience and having an open mind have been his biggest takeaways through this time. "I've become a lot more patient, which, I think is important for all artistes. Although I had discussions for new projects, instead of signing up for as many as possible to make up for the break, I took a step back to assess my career and figure out what I can offer to these roles," he reveals.
Niranjan adds, "I understood that I don't need to only work on larger-than-life scripts. The way people are consuming content has changed. In fact, I'd love to do a role with a negative shade; it is all about trying out different characters, irrespective of the length."
