has signed up for an experimental film, titled

Thoothu Madike

, directed by Chandra Keerthi, who is also the male lead in the movie. The film sees Paavana in the role of a slum dweller for the first time in her career. Major portions of the movie will be shot at a slum in Bengaluru.

Speaking to us, Paavana says, “The title, Thoothu Madike, is a symbolic representation of how people in slums live. Despite having many problems, they find a way to lead a happy life, which is what we are trying to showcase in the movie. The general perception is that slum dwellers are under constant duress, but we are looking at dispelling that. I play the role of Parimala, a bold, resilient, straight-forward girl from one such slum, who does not hesitate to take any risk in life. It is a performance-oriented character that requires me to
