Actor Tanisha Kuppanda is excited to essay the role of a cop in her next, a project titled Sherr. The project, which is directed by Prasiddh, has Kiran Raj in the lead role.
She shares that this role gave her an insight into the demanding life of a female police officer. “The first shot was the climax which involved a stunt sequence. Playing this role for the first time made me realise that being a lady cop who works round the clock is not easy. Controlling a mob or nabbing a criminal requires immense dedication, and they must balance their families as well. I feel they deserve more for the work they do. I believe women cops can give a new perspective to cases which sometimes men lack,” says Tanisha who plays the role of Inspector Indrani, a character known for her impartiality.
“I drew inspiration from actress Malashree who has essayed the cop role many times. I’ve even tried to recreate it on screen by bringing a touch of my own mannerisms,” she sums up.
