Katha Sangama, the seven story-anthology conceptualised by
Rishab Shetty, releases this week, and while the movie boasts a stellar ensemble cast — that includes
Prakash Belawadi, Sowmya Jaganmurthy, Vasu Dixit,
Avinash, Hari Samashti and Paravva (of Thithi fame) — it also brings together actors, who have been an onscreen jodi before, essaying romantic roles and otherwise. Here’s a look at the four jodis that will be seen together again in Katha Sangama.
Rishab Shetty and Hariprriya Rishab Shetty and Hariprriya became quite the hit pair with Bell Bottom. In Katha Sangama, however, the Kiranraj K-directed segment in which the duo star, will see them in a completely new avatar. There are no dialogues in this story, and the narrative also features a dog. Nobin Paul has composed the music for this segment, while the cinematography has been handled by Venkatesh Anguraj.
Raj B Shetty and Amrutha NaikRaj B Shetty and Amrutha Naik, who were last seen together in Ondu Motteya Kathe, will team up again in this fantasy dramedy. They play a couple in this movie too. Directed by Shashi Kumar P, this story has music by DOSSMODE, while the cinematography is done by Gomtesh Upadhye. Apart from Raj and Amrutha, it also features JP Tuminad.
Kishore and Yagna ShettyKishore and Yagna Shetty, who have collaborated on quite a few projects earlier, notably in Ulidavaru Kandanthe, will come together again in this film. Here they play husband and wife, and the story looks at their relationship as parents with their onscreen daughter, played by Baby Mridunika. This story, which has been written and directed by Chandrajith Belliappa, has music composed by Gagan Baderiya and cinematography done by Arvind.
Balaji Manohar and Pramod Shetty Balaji Manohar and Pramod Shetty, who have worked together in Choorikatte before, and will soon be seen as the leading baddies in Avane Srimannarayana. In Katha Sangama, they will play two characters with completely different mindsets. And the story showcases the exchange that takes place between them. It has been written and directed by Rahul PK and the music is by Udith Haritas, while Sandeep PS takes on the role of the cinematographer.
