Pragathi Shetty: Career and educational qualification of Rishab Shetty's wife; Software engineer to cinema
Rishab Shetty's wife is one of the key creative minds behind the recently released superhit film ': Chapter 1'.
Being a native of Mandarthi in Karnataka’s Udupi district, Pragathi’s path to cinema was far from conventional.
Pragathi's educational qualification
As reported by Economic Times, Rishab's wife completed her engineering degree at Sahyadri College in Shivamogga. She began her career as a software engineer in Bengaluru. She found her true calling as she stepped into the world of cinema.
The heart behind 'Kantara'
Pragathi played the dual role of a creative professional along with being a supportive partner during the making of 'Kantara: Chapter 1'. As Rishab Shetty took on the task of writing, directing, and acting, Pragathi contributed artistically to the film’s design and aesthetics.
Sharing a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the film’s sets on the last day, Pragathi wrote on Instagram, “Being a part of Kantara: Chapter 1 has been a truly unforgettable journey,”
Pragathi further said that designing costumes for a story which is rooted, rawa and divine, felt more like an emotion, rather than work. She added, "Grateful to have woven a small part of this magnificent vision.”
A partnership rooted in love and hardwork
The story of Rishab and Pragathi extends beyond cinema. Reportedly, the couple first met at a film event. Later while sharing creative ideas, they developed a bond. Despite initial hesitation from Pragathi’s family due to Rishab’s uncertain film career, their relationship remained strong. Rishab and Pragathi married in 2017. In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, Rishab Shetty revealed that his wife was his source of strength and whenever he left for shoot, her prayers will start and she took all the responsibility of managing the house, kids etc.
