Praveen Tej plays a CBI officer in his next film

Praveen Tej is all set to begin

work

on his new film that will see him in a brand new avatar. The film, titled

Kathanayaka

, is slated to begin soon. “This is crime thriller subject primarily, but it also has a love story and is a complete package. The story narration had me floored. They had come prepared with every shot in mind during that narration. The film has two parallel storylines, one in 2005 and the other in the present day. The technical team in the film is also very good,” says Praveen.
Revealing more about his

character

in the film, Praveen shares, “I play a CBI officer in the film and it is a very impressive character. I am already fit in terms of my looks, so, fortunately, there’s not much work to be done there. But I am preparing mentally for the role and my film team is helping me a lot with the same.”
While Praveen was seen with a makeover in

Mundina Nildana

, he has not signed many films after that. The actor reveals this was a conscious decision. “Before Mundina Nildana, I’d done back-to-back films. Now, I have realised that doing many films continuously won’t impact people, unless they are good. The best movies make people remember you as an actor. This was the reason I chose to slow down and not sign everything that came my way. I had many offers, but they didn’t impress me. I want to do roles that will be remembered for a long time,” he signs off.
