Puneeth Rajkumar on Saturday took to his social media to share a video and thanked members of the Kannada Association of Bengaluru Municipal Corporation, who unveiled a

of his father,

shared a video in which he can be seen in attendance during the inauguration of the late actor's statue. Here's what Puneeth wrote, "ನೆನ್ನೆ ಬೃಹತ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ನೌಕರರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘದವತಿಯಿಂದ ಅಪ್ಪಾಜಿ ಅವರ "ಮೇಯರ್ ಮುತ್ತಣ್ಣ" ಪುತ್ಥಳಿ ಅನಾವರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು. (sic)." Fans have been eagerly waiting for the film's release. Puneeth plays the role of a college student in the film. The film marks Puneeth Rajkumar collaborating with director Santhosh Ananddram after several years. And, along with Puneeth, Yuvarathnaa also features actress Sayyeshaa, who makes her Kannada debut with this film.

Puneeth will also be seen in James, directed by Chethan Kumar of Bahaddur and Bharjari fame. James is said to be an out and out commercial drama that will showcase Puneeth in a stylish avatar. Chethan has been working on this script for the past couple of years and the team is leaving no stone unturned to ensure this will be an entertainer that will appease all fans of the Power Star.
