Rachita steps into Ramya’s shoes in film sequel

Almost 12 years after Sanju Weds Geetha, director Nagashekar is gearing up for its sequel. Titled Sanju Weds Geetha-2, the director has roped in Srinagara Kitty and Rachita Ram to play the central characters. While Kitty played Sanju in the first part too, Rachita will step into Ramya’s shoes. “Geetha is not just a character but an emotion for people. People laughed and cried with her.For the sequel, I wanted to rope in a solid performer who could do justice to the enigmatic role. I had three actors on my mind - Ramya, Rachita Ram and Trisha. Ramya was busy, so I approached Rachita, who agreed. So, I did not approach Trisha. Additionally, Kitty and Rachita have that fresh pair vibe.
