Ragini Dwivedi and PC Shekar to make film on terrorism

had announced that he was set to make a film with actor Chetan, which would be set in British-era India. The as-yet-untitled project, however, requires a lot of research and development before it goes on floors, which gave the director a break to work on something else. “The period film is a dream project and I want everything to be ready in pre-production before we start shooting. I want it to be one of the best in the genre. In the meantime, I wanted to do another film. . Since then, we have been wanting to collaborate, but the right project was just not coming by. It has fallen in place now,” says Shekar.
Ragini will play the lead in his women-centric film, the premise of which is based on terrorism. “There are incidents that we read or hear about almost every day, which is the basis of the story of our film. And while I have been inspired by real events, their aftermaths and how they impact people involved, the story is a fictional account. We begin shooting in early November and are looking at finishing it in one 25-30 day schedule,” adds Shekar.
Ragini is also excited about working with the filmmaker, whom she considers a good friend in the industry. “We’ve known each other for long and have been looking for a good project to collaborate on. It’s happened now with an amazing women-centric script that I will be the protagonist of,” she says.
