Rahul Dev Shetty to debut in Malayalam cinema

Model, fashion choreographer and now actor, Bengaluru’s own

Rahul Dev Shetty

has, no doubt, been trying out many hats, and making quite an impact in them all. More known for his fashion choreography and other related events, Rahul, who began his career as a model, has gradually been making inroads in the world of acting.
With a couple of roles in Kannada films, as well as one in Hindi — such as Lekar Hum Deewana Dil and Station, Rahul is now heading further south with his debut in

Malayalam

, titled Lalbagh, in the offing. What's more is that this

film

includes a fair amount of Kannada, as well as English, as part of its narrative.
“I play one of the protagonists in this woman-oriented film that stars Mamta Mohandas. It’s a 90-minute thriller based on an incident that took place in Kerala. This one is set in Bengaluru, though. I play the lead investigating officer who is following the case. That's also one of the reasons we have used both Kannada and English,” explains Rahul.
Directed by Prashanth Murali, the film also stars VK Prakash, Neha Saxena and

Rajesh Devaraj

. “The film is expected to be ready by March or April next year, and from then on, it will be sent across to be played at film festivals across the world,” says Rahul.
The team has completed its first schedule, and going by the pictures of Rahul from the set, this is one kadak cop to watch out for onscreen.
