Rajavardan
was last seen as the lead in the ambitious historical project
Bicchugatti
. He has now begun shooting for his next, which is an as-yet untitled romantic commercial film, which he hopes will give him the image makeover he says he requires on screen.
“I needed a change after
Bicchugatti. People associate me with the character I played in that film now – as this very tall and big built guy. The fact that it was a historical required that I be styled a certain way. The disadvantage, however, is that my face without all that makeup was not registered. People do not recognise me without that look. This is the reason I chose to do an out-and-out commercial film as my next one. It has me sport a much softer look. I am excited about this as the story narration blew my mind. It is a sweet love story between a tall guy and a short girl. So in a way, it includes my physical personality strengths as well,” explains Rajavardan.
The film is being shot in
Madikeri
. It also features
Naina Ganguly as the female lead, and has debutant director Dattatreya calling the shots. Rajavardan has also signed up for yet another commercial film called
Chakri
, which will go on floors post the one he is currently shooting for.
