Rakshit Shetty’s assistant Rahul PK debuts with family drama

, is a family drama laced with ample comedy. “It is about two dysfunctional families that come together to save an engagement from falling apart. So there is a lot of situational comedy. In fact, many of the actors in the film could actually relate to the plot as they all had seen events of this kind around them as well,” shares Rahul. The film was written during lockdown and recently wrapped up shoot. “Pooja Sudhir who had earlier directed the short film Tea, has co-written this film with me. It lent a much-needed woman’s perspective to the subject,” shares Rahul. Sakutumba Sametha stars Achyuth Kumar, Krishna Hebbale, Jayalaxmi Patil, Pushpa Belawadi and Rekha Kudligi. The young couple is played by Siri Ravikumar and Bharath GB. I feel elated because as a director, when you have a team of fine actors, half your job is done,” sums up Rahul.
