It looks like V Nagendra Prasad’s Shrungaara — starring V Ravichandaran, Raai Laxmi and Ragini Dwivedi — might just be shelved. The Crazy Star says that he doesn’t want to be a part of a film that is filled with so much negativity, while the director and his team are hopeful of completing it with Ravichandaran itself.
Ravichandaran says, “They began the film on a grand note.
But ironically, they haven’t contacted me after two days of shoot. It is no fun being part of a film in which a producer’s situation is worsening by the day. It has been three months and they haven’t contacted me or spoken about sorting the film’s problems out. Even if they do get their act together, I’m not keen on being a part of this film that has so many negative things going on.”
But director Nagendra brushes aside this problem as minor. “In the film industry, it is normal for movies to get delayed due to financial issues. Films are about arranging finances and, at times, there can be disparities. I’m currently travelling and I’m going to sort the matter out with everyone,” he says. Quiz him about Ravichandaran’s displeasure and outburst and he says, “He must have been upset with the delay and that may have triggered him to talk about the film. I will be meeting him to sort out the issue. I cannot think of doing this film with anyone else but him.”
