Renukaswamy murder case: Police to file another chargesheet against Darshan Thoogudeepa

For the past couple of months, Darshan Thoogudeepa has been arrested for the alleged murder of a fan, Renukaswamy. In the latest development in the case, reports suggest that the police will file another charge sheet against the Kannada actor in the murder case.

According to a report by Asianet Newsable Kannada, the police will file charges not only against Darshan but also against gangster Nagaraj and another accomplice related to the controversy over the special treatment during his time in the Parappana’s Agrahara Central jail.

Earlier, Darshan was transferred from Parappana Agrahara Jail to Bellary Jail after a viral photo surfaced showing him relaxing with gangster Nagaraj, also known as Wilson Garden Naga, on the jail lawn. In the image, Darshan is seen casually smoking a cigarette and holding a coffee mug, raising questions about the conditions of his imprisonment. Following this incident, a video also emerged showing him making a video call from inside the prison.

The same report also suggests that the Electronic City subdivision police have reportedly completed part of their investigation and are finalizing the charge sheet for submission to the court. Legal experts are currently reviewing the list of charges before it is officially filed.

"Challenging Star" Darshan has been arrested since June for the alleged murder of fan Renukaswamy. It is said that the victim, who was a 33-year-old pharmacist, used to send derogatory messages to Pavithra Gowda on social media, who is the alleged girlfriend of Darshan. This led to Darshan taking matters into his own hands as he allegedly orchestrated the murder, where Darshan and his accomplices allegedly tortured him.
