Kambala, the Kannada film industry has decided to make a
movie
based on this sport. Now, producer Lokesh Shetty has approached
Rishab Shetty and
Kishore for the project.
This movie is directed by Dr Nikhil Manju, and the cast of the movie is yet to be decided. Lokesh Shetty, who has already had a discussion about the story with Rishab Shetty, is waiting for his response. According to sources, Lokesh Shetty has also approached Kishore and he will be playing the lead role in the film.
Apart from this, the producer and director have decided to bring Kambala sports players Mizaru Srinivas Gowda, Bajagoli Nishant Shetty, Hakkari Suresh Shetty, Anand Irvattur and Panapila Praveen Kotan on board to give a natural feel to the movie.
Kambala is an annual buffalo race which takes place in paddy fields. Kambala movie will be a different kind of art film and will be based on the sport held in Dakshina Kannada district. The movie is focused on a 150-year-old real event. Director Nikhil Manju is currently busy with pre-production work and will start shooting in March.
