On Thursday, industry circles were abuzz with news that
Kannada actress Rohini Singh
, the daughter of veteran filmmaker
Rajendra Singh Babu and sister to actor
Adityaa, was involved in a
major car crash
. Rohini, who is also known as
Rishika
in film circles, was allegedly returning from a birthday party in the wee hours of Thursday. when the car she and her
pal Arpita
, the daughter of
actor Jai Jagdish
, careened off the road and crashed into a tree.
According to sources, the car was damaged quite badly and both Rohini and Arpita sustained injuries, including multiple fractures. However, the condition of both is said to be stable.
"Rohini and a friend were in the car that hit a tree near Mavallipura and Rajanukunte. Rohini has more injuries, but nothing life threatening. Both have sustained multiple fractures and have been moved to a private hospital for treatment," says a source, adding that it has been alleged that the duo was returning from the birthday party of one of Jai Jagdish’s younger daughters, when they lost control over the car.
When we reached out to Adityaa, who was at the hospital, he confirmed the accident, but said that both girls were fine and should be able to come back home in a week or two.
