Samyukta Hornad is sharing screen space with theatre personality B
Jayashree, whom she considers her mentor. The
movie
titled Ammamma, which is an anthology of four stories, is directed by Pooja Sampath.
Samyukta Hornad says, “It is because of Jayashree amma that I am an actress today. She trained me around 10 years ago from teaching me
Kannada
to the nuances of acting. I was a part of her team called Spandana. She took me to
National School of Drama
and we have performed together in several plays which is why her contribution is invaluable to the growth of my
career
. I have traveled with her to many villages across the country. I was nervous while acting with her as it's almost six years since I worked with her. At the same time, I was excited as well.”
About her character in the movie, Samyukta says, “I essay the role of her granddaughter who is very bold, independent, career driven and is also in love with a guy.” Vivian Ambrose is the cinematographer. Samyukta's last release was
Arishadvarga
which released in November.
